Indigo Dye Parties are fun, action packed, and communal activities for all ages and skill levels! You learn about the history and chemistry of the dye while also learning ways to harness that blue for your own uses. You'll have enough information by the end of the event to go home and make your own Indigo baby! Indigo Dye Parties come in a few tiers:
Indigo DIY Event - the lowkey alternative to a big fancy party! I'll bring along all the supplies to make the Indigo vat while you provide the fabrics you want to dye! This is a great idea for those that already have a bit of Indigo knowledge, or those who want something more drop-in friendly. We will go less in depth about the history and chemistry of Indigo and I will cover the most basic of resist techniques to make marks on your fabrics.
The Party - this is a more formalized event. I'll go in-depth about the history, chemistry, and uses of Indigo as well as various Shibori techniques. I'll provide the fabric as well as all other necessary tools to make the Indigo vat and those for Shibori. This is a perfect event for family get togethers, corporate team building, bridal showers, baby showers, etc. I show up with everything Indigo related, you bring the excitement! Food and drink can be included. Let's talk.
Indigo Extravaganza - do you have more than 20 people you want to show the magic of Indigo to? Do you have a giant party that you're looking for a fun activity to go along with? This tier is perfect for you! We can figure out the full details together to make sure everyone's needs get met!
